NAIA MEN'S Soccer National Tournament!

After a weekend full of tough battles in the opening round all around the US, now the best sixteen teams in the country will face each other in Irvine, California, for the 61th Annual Men’s Soccer National Championship from the 2nd to the 7th December 2019.

The final bracket presents nine teams ranked in the top 25 of the nation after the regular season: No.1 Central Methodist, No. 2 Columbia, No. 3 West Mont, No. 4 Mobile, No. 5 Lindsey Wilson, No. 6 William Carey, No. 7 Oklahoma Wesleyan, No. 9 Rio Grande, No. 11 Spring Arbor and No. 16 Georgia Gwinnet. Other teams qualified are University of Northwestern Ohio, UC Merced, Missouri Valley, Baker, Madonna and Hastings.

The defending champion Central Methodist will face Georgia Gwinnet on Monday, December 2nd, for the opening game of the tournament. The Eagles want to repeat the victory from last year, after another awesome season where they won the regular season first, the conference tournament, and the opening round against Martin Methodist. Georgia Gwinnet is going to play the 6th National Championship of their history after winning against Life in the opening round.

Columbia College is one of the biggest surprises of the season, currently in the second position of the national ranking, won the opening round against Embry-Riddle, and now they wait for Baker on December 3rd for the first game of their national championship.

Westmont, currently in the third position of the ranking, is qualified without opening round since they are the hosting team of the tournament. The Californian team will play the first game with Hastings, who won the opening round against William Penn in penalty kicks.

Mobile, currently number 4, will face Missouri Valley in their 19th appearance in the NAIA National Championship on Monday 2nd, after fighting Indiana Tech in the previous round.
Lindsey Wilson (ranked 5th) opens the third round of their tournament with UC Merced on Monday, after a huge win with John Brown with a 4-1 final score.

Number 9 Rio Grande will face University of Northwestern Ohio on Monday 2nd at 11 a.m. for the opening game of the tournament. The Rio boys got the pass after a 1-0 victory against Huntington; meanwhile the University of Northwestern Ohio took out No. 8 Bethel with the same score.
William Carey (ranked 6th) will play No.11 Spring Arbor in a rank-game on Tuesday 3rd at 4 p.m. the two teams took out Keiser and Grand View in the opening round last weekend.

No.7 Oklahoma Wesleyan is going to face the semifinalist of last year: Madonna University.
Madonna won against No. 10 WVU Tech; Oklahoma smashed Morningside 6-1.
