Kick off of the 2019 NCAA National Championship for women's soccer.

Here we go, we are just few hours away from the kick off of the 2019 NCAA National Championship for women’s soccer.
After 3 months of regular season matches, only the best 64 teams in country will have the opportunity to become the new national champions. Will Florida State win the tournament again or will No.1 Stanford bring the trophy home? 
In a few weeks we will know the answer.

Previewing the College Cup

  • The most successful team is University of North Carolina with 21 college cups followed by Notre Dame with 3 and Florida State with 2.
  • University of North Carolina last success in the college cup is dated to 2012, when they won at the Torero Stadium (San Diego, CA) Penn State
  • The city of Nashville is represented by 3 teams (Belmont, Lipscomb and Vanderbilt) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament
  • BYU is the only team that arrives to the College Cup with 0 losses
  • Esther Okoronkwo from Lamar University is the top scorer of the league with 25 goals, followed by Catarina Macario from Stanford University with 23 goals and Evelyne Viens from University of South Florida with 20 goals.
  • Monmouth has the lowest goals against average (0.215) and 14 clean sheets during the season.
